SIMPLE (Simulated Internal Medicine Patient Learning Experience): October Resource of the Month
October 1st, 2009 Posted in 2009, MedicineSIMPLE is a virtual patient program for the Internal Medicine clerkship. It has 35 interactive virtual patient cases “designed to encompass the learning objectives of the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine (CDIM)-Society for General Internal Medicine Core Medicine Clerkship Curriculum Guide.” Designed for third-year medical students, SIMPLE is also an excellent resource other health care professionals.
In addition to the case studies for students, SIMPLE also has a instructors area with information on content of the case descriptions, log data on students’ use of SIMPLE, and tips on integrating the content into a clerkship.
