Patent Searching Workshop with Relecura on 2/6 & 2/7

Learn to use UAB’s new advanced patent search and analysis tool Relecura.  Join Relecura trainer Alan Shih for a hands-on interactive training workshop.  Training will be offered at both UAB libraries.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops.

Toys for Fines

LHL is holding its annual Toys for Fines holiday toy drive through December 10th.  Donate a new, unwrapped toy and have up to $20 in overdue fines waived.

Place donations for children (infants to 12-year-olds) in the Toys for Tots box near the HUB on the 1st floor.  Donations will be accepted through the morning of Tuesday, December 10.

In conjunction with Mervyn Sterne and Lister Hill Libraries, the Center for Teaching & Learning is hosting a Digital Literacy series that focuses on helping faculty and instructors navigate the challenges of digital resource identification, use, and distribution in and out of the classroom.

Reynolds Lecture on October 30

Join us for the Reynolds Lecture on Wednesday, October 30 from 12:00 — 1:00 in the Edge of Chaos Atrium, 4th floor. Box lunches are provided on a first come, first served basis.

Dr. Robert F. Jefferson will present this lecture on “Frames Refocused:  Black and White Blinded GIs and Social Reintegration in World War II.”  See the abstract for more information.
