Interactive Anatomy Resources

We had a question about interactive anatomy resources. We currently license Anatomy.TV. (Now linked from the left sidebar.)
This is the Primal Pictures Product, although you sometimes see it called Primal Pictures when licensed through another vendor. There is a limited number of seats that can be used at the same time, so please log out when finished and let us know if you have trouble getting in.

Well you can do both in the UAB Trivia Quiz feature that is part of this week’s National Library Week Celebrations at LHL.
Go to the main LHL page for a link directly into the UAB Trivia Quiz. Prizes will be awarded to those names drawn from a pool of all those who correctly answer the quiz.

Materials for GI Module on LHL Reserve

To use Pediatric Pathology by Thomas Stocker and Louis Dehner, go to the LHL reserve desk on the ground floor of LHL. Be sure your ID is set up to check out titles before you go down though. Chapter 16 on the Liver, Gallbladder, and Biliary Tract have also been scanned and placed on electronic reserve. Access that material through the GI WebCT page. Quesions? Need more?

LHL and AOA Art Show Opening February 28th

The UAB School of Medicine’s 2008 Art Show, now in its 8th year, continues to examine the link between art and medicine with 37 submissions from faculty, residents and medical students.
The art show is presented by the Alabama chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor society for medical school students, and the Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences. It runs through May 30 in the museum on the third floor of the Lister Hill Library, 1700 University Blvd. An awards ceremony and reception will be held at the museum Feb. 28, from 4-6 p.m. More info
