Focus Group Session for Students

To help us understand how the journal cancellations have affected your work, we are going to hold a focus group session on this topic at lunchtime on April  16, 2010 in the Fletcher Room of Lister Hill Library.  Lunch will be ready at 11:30 and we’ll start the session at noon.  We’re interested in how access to fewer online journals impacts your use of information.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Billie Montey at 934-5460 or bmontey@uab.edu.  If you are interested but can’t make that time, contact phiggin@uab.edu.

Happy Thanksgiving-LHL Holiday Hours

LHL will close at 6 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 and remain closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th.  We’ll resume normal business hours on Saturday, November 28th.  I hope you all have a great holiday.  Be safe.

Help Us Name the New Student Lounge

Help us name the new student lounge at Lister Hill Library opening on October 27th. The old copy room on the ground floor has been updated with a new look and comfortable seating, tables and chairs, and a microwave so that students can gather to eat or work together. Click here and vote for your favorite name for the student lounge between now and October 24th. And then join us at the grand opening on October 27th at noon.
