Fund I Assignment

Today I spoke to you for a few minutes on what kinds of sources to use for your Fund I project and why those sources are valid information resources.  I encourage you to go back to review the LHLGuide developed for PDS as the assignments are very similar.  Couple of things to keep in mind:

This week at Express Training @ LHL, learn strategies to focus your basic PubMed searches and experiment with the using the timesaver PubGet. Express Training classes are held on Thursdays at noon in the Electronic Classroom on the ground floor of Lister Hill Library. The classes feature focused training with plenty of hands-on exercises and time for your questions. Bring a (non-messy) brown bag lunch if you like; Lister Hill will provide water and fruit. I’m guessing you have lots of data to memorize.  You may have found your own groove for that by now but the New York Times Reports that you should Forget What You Know About Good Study Habits.  This interesting article might provide some good tips to make the most of your study time.

Library Closed Monday September 6th

The library is closed Monday, September 6th for Labor Day–so for you 2nd year students, if you need help from a librarian or need to use resources in the library for your MS/Skin project you will need to do that by Sunday.  The library is open noon to 10 pm on Sunday and Lee Vucovich will be available from noon to 8 pm to help.
