Reynolds Lecture on November 17th

Join us on Tuesday, November 17, for the next Reynolds Historical Lecture as Philip K. Wilson, PhD, Professor of Humanities, and Science, Technology, & Society / Director of The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine, Penn State University, speaks on ‘Dissecting a Created Life: Anna Seward’s 1804 Biography of Dr. Erasmus Darwin – the Grandfather of Evolution.’ The lecture will be held from noon to one in the Ireland Room on the 3rd floor of Lister Hill Library. MD Consult Mobile Training

Join us Thursday, November 12th at 10am in the Fletcher Room at Lister Hill Library for training on MD Consult’s new mobile tool. This free tool provides access to MD Consult books, journals, Clinics, and guidelines through web-enabled smartphones like the iPhone, Blackberry, Treo and others.
The session will be lead by an MD Consult trainer via webinar. USMLE Question Banks Updated

PubMed Interface Redesign

Be prepared for a change:
The National Library of Medicine recently announced a redesign of the PubMed Interface. Currently, users can preview the new interface while still accessing the old version. However, shortly the redesigned version will replace the old. All the changes are fully explained in the NLM Technical Bulletin. Take a minute to review this article to see how the redesign will affect the homepage, display formats, summary results, advanced searching, My NCBI, and other PubMed functions. Question? Help Us Name the New Student Lounge

Help us name the new student lounge at Lister Hill Library opening on October 27th. The old copy room on the ground floor has been updated with a new look and comfortable seating, tables and chairs, and a microwave so that students can gather to eat or work together. Click here and vote for your favorite name for the student lounge between now and October 24th. And then join us at the grand opening on October 27th at noon.
