Using Scopus

Scopus, a new database at Lister Hill Library, is a large abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Use Scopus:

  • to search on your topic when you want search results that are interdisciplinary and include international literature
  • when you would like to see results ranked by times cited and relevence and as well as by date.
  • to see the reference list as well as the forward cites to the paper(s) of interest
  • to find out who is citing your work and to set citation alerts

Check out my  Scopus LHL Guide demonstrating the key features of Scopus or contact me directly with questions or for assistance.

Scopus is replacing Web of Science.  UAB will retain the content from 1990 – 2011, but no new content will be added. We still license both Journal Citation Reports (impact factors) and EndNote Web.
